I don't usually show gesture drawings because they aren't really mean't as presentation pieces . . But I really like how this one turned out. For those in who don't know these are one minute drawings where you try and capture "energy in space" Deceptively simple because you need direction, weight, balance, attitude, posture etc .. . in one continuous line.
My art teacher showed this to us for an example of what a gesture drawing was. It's brilliant. ^^
This gesture drawing really caught my eye. I love the line variation. Gesture drawing is one of my favorite techniques I've learned, it's so helpful.
i personally love gesture drawings. they are so dynamic and flowing. this piece is really beautiful, i must say.
Its a really good drawing. We just started working on those today and I didn't really understand how they were suppose to look, but this really helped...so thanks for posting!
that was nice! especially how the body curve and those lines are just good.
This is a fantastic gesture. I've been debating whether to put some up or not.
Awesome. You've really captured the energy and motion in this one. I've tried these myself, but I could never get it. Good work!
Ah. Thanks for the tips. I was REALLY struggling with this in art class, and this has given me a better idea/example of gesture drawing.
I really like how your curves along the legs and lower back turned out. I'm currently in a college drawing course and gesture was one of the sections we covered. They are hard to do at first but they get easier. After studying line drawing, I started to miss gesture lol
Awesome! I love your lines, how you can see where you lightly started and then darkly finished! Too bad it's not a little clearer!
AWESOME gesture, i love it! those are so tough , its good to see one awesomely done.
